Most Outrageous Fundraiser

OK, I have been in the fundraising business for quite a while and I have heard all types of stories about crazy fundraisers. I don't know whether or not it's right for me to share some of the disasters or stories I've heard.

So, I figured I would just ask all of you to please help me out and post your most outrageous fundraiser ever. Would you do that please?

I am looking for crazy fundraising ideas that no one would have ever thought of. I would prefer ones that made money but would be interested in hearing any most outrageous fundraiser story you have.

I will pick the most outrageous and make you temporarily famous by including you in our newsletter that currently goes to more than 80,000 people.

Do you know anyone who has used fundable.com? It sounded like a pretty good site, from the reviews I found, but I am always skeptical.

So many people belong to organizations that need to raise money. Fundraising is becoming a way of life for many. If you need to raise money I would recommend you explore the different options at Easy Fundraising Ideas. They have lots of options for groups of any size. Many do not require any upfront money too

I've got an odd idea, but it's untried. I'm an author for children so this is all that comes to mind. For ???$ (the author could donate proceeds to a charity) you could sell raffle tickets for a dinner with a character of the author's picture book. The winner would have dinner with the author in costume. Kids would love it.

Dear H.R. Gottlieb,

Please learn some manners and stop posting spam comments on unrelated blogs! It's rude and obnoxious - and, I think you will find, very bad for business.

Please stop spamming our posts with links to your blog. It is annoying and unprofessional. Thank you.

It isn't for the whole church's needs. It's for the youth department. And our way of raising money has been successful for 4 years now, but thanks anyways for taking the time to inform me. I'll be sure to check it out. :]
